KhonKaen University (KKU)
Over
forty years ago, the King of Thailand made a decree that each of the major
regions of Thailand would have at least one significant university in that
region. Khon Kaen was chosen to be the location for the Northeastern region by
the King because it is generally referred to as the Capital of the NE region of
Thailand due to it’s central location among the 21 Northeastern Provinces.
The population of the NE of Thailand is 21 million people. Khon
Kaen University or KKU enrolls over 20,000 undergraduate & graduate
students. KKU has a prominent medical & pharmaceutical school as well
as Agriculture, Engineering & Sciences.

Campus Outreach began the ministry at KKU in September of 1998 with a team of
seven American families and 5 Thai staff. Currently there are four
American families, one Thai family, two single American women and three single
Thai staff laboring on the campus.
